Peanut has been having temperatures ranging from 99.9 to 101.6 in the last few days. O took him to the doctor yesterday and found out that his lymph nodes are swollen. Obviously, I have been sitting on top pins and needles while leaving Peanut in the care of the babysitters. Every time the phone rang, I knew that he was not feeling well. But it is our fortune that Ms. E is a very caring and trusted individual. She loves Peanut as if he is her own.
As for me, I have been warping in my own world. It’s not a completely dark world, but it is a world fills with shenanigans, unhealthy stuff and are very much unnecessary to carry. I hate this kind of baggage!
I am delighted to report, that we are having warmer weather…well, relatively warmer weather as the temperature has been breaking the threshold of 30 degrees. The sun is up, golden and glorious. I think one of the reasons for my moodiness and lack of energy is the deprivation of sunlight throughout the winter.
O is home this week, hooray! He saves my days with being the chauffeur, dropping me off and picking me up at work for the week. It’s amazing how stress relieving it is to have extra hands to help with the boys, particularly this week when Peanut is not feeling well. That’s one whole reason to appreciate having a partner in life.
And a quick update about Tendril. She has been making positive adjustment to the new living situation. She likes the new school but you know, teenage angst is considered normal. Sometimes she comes home from school and telling me how other kids are weird and rude and such and such…I told her, that’s life. We deal with people who are different from us all the time. She is spending the school vacation with her mom and they traveled to Chicago this week. The six-hour drive allowed them lots of time to catch up. Will see what she will report back to me!
Thanks to all friends who are concerned about me. I am getting better and feeling optimistic, little by little.
