My peonies are blooming. Finally!
If cherry blossoms signify the innocent essence of youth, then peonies represent a voluptuous woman who is maturely in love. Not lustful, not exotic, but a bold woman who embraces her femininity.
A related story:
After dinner I told O I needed to take pictures of the peonies before they all bloomed and wither away. PP was walking into the kitchen from the bathroom, and I think he heard part of the conversation.
This is what he said:
Mommy, why do you take picture of the penis, that’s not appropriate!
Yup, I was scold by a four-year-old. Just hope that he did not infer to O’s body part.
Either that or I really don’t know how to correctly pronounce the word “peonies.”
