I have been such a good wife and mother, preparing three meals a day with two snacks in between. My project “fattening the husband” is in full effect, and it is working! (Works for him, but bad for my diet :()
Today, he allowed me to take candid photos of him and the boys. He looks and feels happy, and less sickly. His cheeks filled up with some padded fat under the skin, not as hallowed as they were when he first came home two weeks ago. The boys give him lots of affection and their mutual fondness for each other gives me that warm feeling. We told each other that we will never part again like we were; wherever O’s job takes him, the boys and I will be there with him. Our new vows!
But he told me to erase his wrinkles using the magic of Photoshop. I refused, because I like the way his wrinkles wrap around his face and the eyes, showing signs of wisdoms and years of experience.
…and the river flows to merge with the sea!
P.S. — We watched the Spain v.s. Netherlands this afternoon. Final score 1-5, what an exciting game. The Dutchmen showed great sportsmanship!
P.S.S. — O is on a job-hunt, but he’s intentionally taking June and July off to watch all the World Cup games. Our DVR is starting to fill up with soccer recordings.
