My October, Day 26 — you always lose in an argument with a three-year-old

Conversation with Peanut.

Peanut: Mẹ Mẹ Mẹ, me want to watch Wild Kratts.

Me: Sorry, you cannot watch TV right now. Would you like to draw or write letters?

Peanut: Wild Kratts me want to watch.

Me: Would you like to draw or write letters?

Peanut: Nooo, Wild Kratts, my teacher Mrs. A said me watch Wild Kratts.

Me: When did Mrs. A say that?

Peanut: At school! (He was looking at me, quizzically.)

Me: Then tell me how did she say it?

Peanut: She said in Vietnamese, Mẹ!

Now it was me looking at him, incredulously!
